Birth of the need<\/h2>\n

The offer that existed in the field of brushless motors mainly concerned standard motors. When new developments occurred, some customers were unable to integrate these standard motors into their new products and instead looked for customised motorisation solutions that perfectly matched their needs. Electromag was founded in 2003 on this basis.<\/p>\n

Founding of Electromag SA in Lausanne – Switzerland. The company is based at the Ecublens Science Park (EPFL campus) to take advantage of the synergy with the School’s research departments.<\/div>\n

Production start-up of a specific compact toroidal winding motor for fan applications<\/div>\n

Production start-up of an integrated motor for dental endodontic application<\/div>\n

Relocation of the company to larger buildings in Ecublens<\/div>\n

Patent granted for innovative winding concept to achieve high power density and reduce losses at high speeds<\/div>\n

Acquisition of a new surface area in Ecublens and doubling of production capacity<\/div>\n

Installation of semi-automatic machines for the production of medical ventilator motors in average quantities (10’000+ pcs \/year)<\/div>\n

Production launch of a miniaturized endodontic motor<\/div>\n
